Master Ted back at RKMSF 8/17-8/19

Good Morning Everyone! I just wanted to let you know about some upcoming events:


Forms class this Wednesday at 7:30p.

Master Ted Sias has confirmed his visit for the weekend of August 17-19th! We'll follow a very similar program as we have during his last several visits. Private lessons on Friday afternoon, class open to all on Friday night, Saturday AM Adults, Saturday kids (all ages) and Saturday afternoon Black Belt class with private lessons to follow. Sunday morning hatha yoga! Mark your calendars! I will have sign up sheets go up in the lobby the 1st of August.

Master Ted likes to know what we would like to work on so please send me suggestions and I will pass them along. =)

Labor Day Weekend RKMSF will be closed on Saturday 9/1 and Monday 9/3.

Its summertime and we have lots of folks on vacation. We should start to see attendance pick back up on class in the next couple of weeks.

Upcoming News

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July.

Wanted to let everyone of a time change for forms on July 11th and 18th. The class will begin at 7:30p instead of 6:30p.

Also, Vivian Hall has been taking pictures for the last month or so of the school and of classes and has provided those to the school to post on our website. They have already been added to the website gallery (click the gallery link at the top of the page) and I'll be adding them to the albums on the facebook page later today. Viv is offering to sell copies and prints to our students and instructors. If you are interested in purchasing a copy (or copies) of any of the photos, please email me at kris@rkmartialsciences.com and I will provide the information.

Coming in August...We're waiting for confirmation from Master Ted but it looks like August 17-19th he will be back in Texas for another fun filled weekend with us! So mark your calendars!

KFSS Graduation this Saturday (6/23)

Just wanted to remind everyone that graduation is this Saturday at 9:30a (doors open at 8:30a). The promotion list is on the white board in the workout area.  Even if you are not moving in rank, please join us as this will be the first graduation in our new facility.

As a reminder to the new folks...there will be no regular classes after graduation. Regular classes resume on Monday June 25th.

We have had some really good attendance over the last several weeks and its really good to see students returning we haven't seen in a while.

New Schedule Starts Monday

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Just a reminder...our summer schedule starts on Monday June 4th. The two major changes are: There will be no 4:30 kids classes and the little kids class is moving to Monday at 5p. We have several instructors who are out for either all or part of the summer for various reasons. There are no changes to the adult class schedule.


There is a forms class THIS Wednesday June 6th at 6:30p.

Graduation is Saturday June 23rd at 9:30a. For those who are new, there will be NO regularly scheduled classes on Graduation day.

The summer heat is definitely here. So gi tops will be optional. We have a really good AC unit, so I will leave up to each individual and their comfort level. Full uniforms are required for graduation.

We have been asked by the merchants on either side of us NOT to park directly in front of their doors. On either side is fine, but not directly in front.

Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

Just a reminder for those who've been out of touch lately....This coming Saturday 5/26 we will have only 1 adult class at 10a and 1 kids class at 11:30 for ALL ages (little kids and big kids).

We will be closed Monday 5/28 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

Take the time to remember why we have this holiday, enjoy your time off and be safe!

Open for Business!

We're finally ready for business!! We will hold our first class in our new location on Wednesday May 16th, Forms at 6:30p.

Then we return to our normal schedule on Thursday and Saturday.

Thank you so much for your patience! We look forward to seeing you in class!

Tuesday Classes Cancelled

We finally got the inspection and provisional COO. The power won't be turned on until tomorrow however then we have to get TWO more inspections before we can open and conduct classes. SO, our first class will be Forms on Wednesday at 6:30, then we're back to our regular schedule.

Stay tuned for Memorial Day info.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing has really gone as planned. But the new place is really shaping up though!
