SNOW DAY!!!

With the current temp and the white stuff continuing to fall, the roads are only going to get worse after dark.  We're going to cancel class this evening (Thurs., 2/6).  As long as things melt off tomorrow, we should be good for Saturday classes.  Stay tuned!

Dear Students and Friends,

When Master Robert and I took over the school, we had such big hopes and dreams.  We also had a plan.  Then the economy tanked and Master Robert, along with many of our students, lost their jobs.  Everyone had to tighten their financial belts in order to make sure primary bills were paid.  When this happened we lost many of our students and the school has never recovered.

We have tried to keep the doors open so our students can continue to learn for 7 years.  I can list many reasons, but the bottom line is with the current student population, we cannot pay the bills.  Master Robert and I no longer have personal funds to keep throwing at the bills, so we have made the very difficult decision to close the school.

We will remain open thru February 27^th, offering 1 class Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 for adults and kids.  On Saturdays we will have our 8:30 and 10am classes.  The 10a class will be open to both adults and kids.  We will no longer have a separate kid’s class on Saturday.

I know there are students who would like to continue to train.  We’ve talked about getting together in Master Robert’s garage or at another location on Saturdays for 3 hours so those who would like to train can continue to do so.  We will pass this along as more information becomes available.  We are looking into other alternate locations as well.  We encourage you to seek out others who have trained in KFSS and keep learning.

We have decided to sell many of the fixtures and equipment to help offset some of the bills and anything that is not sold will be donated if it cannot be stored.

This has been a very difficult decision for us to make.  We thank all of you who have continued to support and train with us and hope to keep KFSS alive in DFW.

Schedule Changes Effective 1/13.

New WEEKDAY Schedule effective Monday 1/13.  

We will have 1 (ONE) combined Adults/Kids class at 6:30p on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.

SATURDAY schedule change: 

We will no longer have a kids only class on Saturday, instead we will include the kids in our 10am adult class.

Holiday Schedule

Ok folks!  Just want to remind everyone of our holiday schedule:

Thursday 1/2, back to reg schedule.

Graduation will be held on 1/11 during the 10am class.  Because we have so much down time in Dec, I want to make sure everyone has a chance at classes in Jan.

Tuesday Schedule

I am planning to open the school tonight for 5:30 and 6:30 class.  If you want to come and can get there safely by 6:30, we'll combine kids and adults and work with whoever shows up.

If no one shows up by 6:50, I'll close up and head home.

Since we are moving graduation to the 11th of January, we will have a normal Saturday class schedule this Saturday.  We had planned a street clothes Saturday for the 7th, so we will do that this Saturday.

Weather Closure

Well, this front got here a little earlier than anticipated.  We are are currently getting sleet and freezing rain in the DFW area and road conditions will only get worse as the temp goes down.  We will close tonight (Thurs).  Please check back for Saturday status.

8/9 Friday night open work out

We will have a rare Friday night class this Friday at 7pm. This will be an open work out format.  So please join us if you can to get in some extra training.
